Related program: Hurricane Sandy Reconstruction
A special delivery was prepared for the school children at Washington School in Little Ferry, NJ. The school is part of Architecture for Humanity's ReNew Schools Program, to help rebuild athletic facilities destroyed during Hurricane Sandy.
On the day before the holiday break, the Washington School's Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First graders had a very special visit from Santa Claus.
The event was a collaboration between Architecture for Humanity and Happy Hearts Fund, who have worked together over many years. The gifts were provided through a toy drive that Happy Hearts Fund initiated over the previous few weeks.
In addition to the toys, United Airlines provided teddy bears for the Kindergarten students.
For a fantastic morning of smiles and laughter: Many thanks to our friends at Happy Hearts Fund, United Airlines, Dr. Mark Hayes, Bill Goode, the faculty and staff of Washington School; and of course, Kris Kringle!
