Renovation and redesign of Architecture for Humanity's new offices at 695 Minna Street.

Completion Date:
Monday, December 10, 2012

Architecture for Humanity moved into our San Francisco Headquarters in January of 2013.

We began this effort with limited construction funds. We reached out to some of our strongest resources for help: our professional partners and our industry partners. This was a huge part of the success of this remodel project. The pro-bono design services and in-kind donations provided by our partners were critical in keeping our costs down, and our schedule and LEED certification on track. The process reinforced our commitments to one another in bringing forth design as the ultimate renewable resource...

Project Sustainability Goals:
Implement: AFH’s core mission of sustainability and primary area of practice.
Showcase: AFH’s work, values and mission through the project’s re-used materials, energy-efficiency, water-use reduction, green features and LEED certification.
Educate: the public, our funders, our chapters and members with our mission of sustainability.
Celebrate: the green & sustainable features of our office tenant improvement.

Thank you...!
